Arsalan delicacies

Loved the 'Special chicken reshmi kebab' and 'Mutton rogan josh' from Arsalan brought in at office. Am yet to try the biriyani of this famous mughlai restaurant at Park Circus that has shot up the popularity chart extraordinarily fast in recent years and is considered among the best by city foodies, besides media recommendations. The reshmi kebab interestingly had a cheese crust! The prices seem to be a little premium compared to its peers like Zeeshan, Shiraj, Rehmania and New Aliah Hotel.

  1. Recently I went through a Biriyani journey - Arsalan, Zeeshan @ College st., Rehmania @ shyambazar, DadaBoudi's @ Barrackpore, Sona @ barrackpore, Asma @ Baruipur.

Arsalan is best one. But Asma is also good, beef biriyani is best here. At Barrackpore Sona is doing better than Dada Boudi.

  2. Zeeshan @ College Street!! The one close to 'Putiram'? That's not the original place. It's at Park Circus, and used to be my favourite biriani stop in recent past.

I'm from Barrackpore, so I know both 'Sona' and 'Dada Boudi'. Did you mean Sona is doing better than the latter taste-wise? If it is business-wise, that's incredible! Dada Boudi still does phenomenal business.

  3. Good to know that you are also from Barrackpore.

Aahh it seems you're a foodie. Try to have HALIM (Mutton/Beef) during this ramzan days at Nizam of Esplanade after 3pm.
